This is a mid-level position on the Proof Customer Service and Sales team. The Market Coordinator will report to the Sales Director and prepare for and fulfill all aspects of markets in accordance with the vision and mission of Proof Bread. The Market Coordinator promotes sales by educating the customer service and sales team on Proof’s unique sourdough base; setting sales standards, ensuring all supplies reach each market location, supporting customer service team in the market setting. In addition to customer service responsibilities, the position of Market Coordinator will on-board new staff, supervise and train all incoming market staff trainees, maintain inventory of all market supplies including; packaging supplies, service materials and be responsible for preparing market point of sale stations.
Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, reliable and flexible to work various shifts throughout the weekly schedule, especially during weekends and holidays.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Customer Service:
- Establish market teams who demonstrate excellent customer service standards
- Develop talking points to direct customers to retail locations; The goal is to drive traffic towards daily retail establishments
- Have a strong understanding of all Proof products and corresponding talking points to help encourage sales and repeat business
- Create market standards for aesthetically pleasing bread and pastry display
- On-board and train new market staff
Procedures and Maintenance:
- Effectively lead market teams by communicating initiatives, setting goals and offering constructive feedback (including weekly pre-market update)
- Responsible for communicating with market teams and Leadership to re-stock, replenish or mitigate any product issues
- Actively communicates with market directors (booth locations, market logisitics, etc.)
- Responsible for maintaining and ensuring all supplies are available at each market
- Prepare and establish point of sale (iPads & terminals) per market weekly
- Works with Logistics Team to build market materials stacks including POS
- Writing market schedule
- Managing market request-off calendar three - four weeks in advance
- Recognize opportunities to streamline markets and create helpful market resources
- Must be available to provide on-site market support and conflict resolution
- Submitting market waste reports to Sales Director in a timely manner
- Must identify and report issues proactively
Prerequisites and Requirements:
- Produce a valid ID and food handling certification
- Must show 2 years of verifiable customer service and cash handling experience
- Demonstrate proficiency computing basic mathematic calculations
- Must be good multi-tasker/time manager
- Ability to work quickly and diligently in a friendly manner with attention to detail
- Demonstrate effective teamwork and communication skills
- Work weekends and stay until all tasks are completed
- Ability to maintain a friendly attitude even when dealing with disgruntled customers
- Must be responsible and have proven ability to maintain scheduling commitments
- Must be able to stand for the entirety of the shift, up to 8 hours
- Food service background is a plus=
Position Specifics:
- Part-time Position - hours range from 6AM open to 2PM close, predominantly weekend-based
- Compensation begins at $18 hourly, with additional tip-share
